  • CORPORATE PHILANTHROPY
At PANDEV we believe that caring for our communities is vital in order to build a meaningful and sustainable difference in the lives of people who are less fortunate than us. We have adopted a long-term strategy in this regard to uplift the economic well-being of our country. Our aim is to strategically address societal challenges thereby building a meaningful legacy for PANDEV for the communities in which we operate. Corporate Philanthropy has formed part of our business strategy. We donate to various hospitals and schools. For as long as South Africa remains underprivileged and deeply affected by poverty, disease, illiteracy, and unemployment amongst other maladies, responsible Corporate Citizens such as PANDEV will continue to engage in socio-economic development through:
  • SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Currently, PANDEV is setting up its Leadership Programme. Its aim is to ensure that we improve and update skills particularly amongst the disadvantaged communities. We will implement Learnerships which will focus on the unemployed that show talent and potential. The aim is to ensure that we have a pool of applicants that are readily available to take up projects which might become available and to ensure that the learners market themselves outside of Pandev. This will ensure job creation and thus alleviate poverty.
Pandev is also setting up Supervisory training Programmes which is aimed to develop the Supervisors and Line Managers in Managerial skills.
We have implemented a Mentorship Programme, as well as a bursary scheme programme to assist employees to obtain their qualification which is necessary to assist employees to be able to become excellent employees.
  • PANDEV EDUCATION SCHEME
Our organization donates school books and uniforms to the underprivileged through our Community Involvement Programme (CIP). PANDEV embarked on Scholarship support for students from the Mangosuthu University of Technology, specifically in the field of Construction.
  • PANDEV AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
We firmly believe that community partnerships are crucial in ensuring sustainable development. PANDEV also donates food every month to the church in Kwa-Mashu, towards the Soup Kitchen. We also provide families with food parcels.
